  • personal identity code, if the company does not have a business ID -number

We collect personal data above all to provide the service, training or consulting ordered by our customer, according to the contract.

We may process your data for marketing research and customer surveys or contact you to market and sell you other services offered by GS1 Finland. The processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest to provide information as part of the service and to market our other services to you.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing. You can exercise your rights by sending us a request to the address asiakaspalvelu@gs1.fi.

From which sources do we collect personal data?

GS1 Finland's customer provides GS1 Finland with their company's contact information.

The customer and marketing register also stores contact forms received via GS1 Finland's public websites (for example downloads of guides) or contact forms received through events.

Personal data can also be obtained from other sources to the extent permitted by applicable laws, for example from the Trade Register.

Who can we share your personal data with?

We do not forward personal data to third parties from our customer and marketing system.

Do we transfer your personal data outside the EU? We do not transfer personal data from our customer and marketing system outside the European Economic Area or to international organizations.
How long do we process your personal data? We store personal data as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes defined in this register.
How can you use your rights related to your personal data?

As a GS1 Finland customer or customer contact person, you have different types of opportunities to influence the processing of your personal data. As a rule, we implement your request within a month. You can exercise your rights by sending us a request to the address asiakaspalvelu@gs1.fi.

You have the right to check your personal data. In practice, this is achieved by providing you with a report on the personal data that has been collected about you in the register.

You can request that your personal data be corrected, updated or deleted. Personal data that is necessary to implement the purposes defined in this privacy policy cannot be deleted.

You have the right to object to or limit the processing of your personal data to the extent required by applicable law. 

When we process your personal data on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. After that, we will not process personal data, unless there is another legal basis for the processing.

If a possible disagreement regarding the processing of your personal data cannot be resolved amicably between you and GS1 Finland, you have the right to refer the matter to the data protection authorized office.
